Everyone who knows me know that I am a real toys maniac. Toys meaning everything electronic, preferably with display, some memory, nice features and ability to be helpful and amusing. So after some thinking I have decided to present new gadgets here as well. I will try to cover all new things coming out, as only I will think they are interesting to show 🙂 So, lets start today with something pretty, something useful and something fun:-)

ps3PS3 Slim

At last Sony has agreed with blogosphere that it will roll out a new PS3 model this Autumn. It will be 32 % smaller and 36 % lighter than the regular PS3 and will hold a 120 GB drive It will be available in the first week of September. Furthermore Sony has cut the PS3 *) GB price to 300 bucks and changed its name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3.

Sony Ericsson Jaloujalou

Really nice example of jewelery mobile phone. Jalou is a tiny clam-shell formed to look like a gemstone colours including Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. Further more there will be a special edition version designed with Dolce and Gabbanna and with 24 k gold ornaments. The very phone has 3.2 megapixel camera (with 3,2 zoom and geo-tagging) , video recording ability, stereo FM Radio, music player, YouTube app, 3D games, Internet, Bluetooth and some rather girly features: Mirror Key (to check your make-up and hair) and Walk Mate step counter.

zuneZune HD

Now available for preorder. It has an OLED touchscreen and 16 or 32 GB drive. The bigger one cost 289 bucks, so few tens less then 32 GB iPod Touch. It cames with built-in HD Radio receiver, HD-compatible video,  navigation and games. The 32GB version holds up to 10 hours of high definition video, or 48 hours of standard definition video optimized for device, or 8,000 songs, or 25,000 pictures.

Samsung T550image002

We already have cameras with projector, cameras making 3d pictures and now we have have a gadget with two displays, perfect for those who make mainly pictures of them selves. New Samsung camera has 12megapixel CCD sensor, 4.6″ optical zoom, 720p video recording capability, 3,5 ” LCD screen,  SDHC card slot and interesting Smart Gestures function. The moment I will buy a console

with one comment

natalDespite all my love to gadgets, new technology and so on, I’m not a maniacal gamer. OK, “Wiedzmin” (“The Witcher”) is awesome and I can’t deny that I’ve spent some hours with “Star Craft”, “Half-Life” among others. But I have managed to live without super Alienware machine made purely for playing nor PS, Xbox, Wii or even a simple DSLite or PSP.

Till now. Or more precisely till 2010 when  the new XBox 360 is said to hit the market (well, at least Steve Ballmer let fly abut it recently) It wont be just new XBox – with better chip or bigger storage. It is nearly sure that this version of popular console will be equiped with totally new accessory created by the Project Natal engineers.

The new device made for Xbox 360 will allow the player enter into the game – with no controllers, gamepads or even cordless remotes with accelerometers (like the one used with Nintendo Wii). THe black box showed recently during the E3 Show will consist of cameras and microphones, which will see and hear the player and her/his movements and changing into movements of the virtual hero. As Microsoft promises, Project Natal will start new era in gaming – no barriers, no wires – just You in the game. Well, IMHO, it has quite good chances As long as it will work like this:

If it will really work as it is claimed to work (and it will cost a bit less than 10 PS3’s) I think I will finally break and buy Xbox 360. I will have to;-)

And here’s some video form the E3 presentation:
